Christmas Art Competition for keystage 2 children

Christmas Art Competition
for Keystage 2 children at Temple Guiting and Blockley schools

This painting by Giotto is about 800 years old. It shows some animals living in the room where Jesus was born, and those brought by the shepherds – but not by the Magi (the wise visitors from the East). I wonder if they also brought animals?

There are so many animals mentioned in the bible (and a whole lot not mentioned by name who may have been on Noah’s ark. What animal would you like to draw? There will be a prize for someone in every class. The entries will be displayed in Blockley Church from 6 December until Christmas and at Temple Guiting Church from 4 January 2022.

A local artist, James Keay-Bright will be displaying his art for the seasons in church, so you can compare your pictures. This competition is sponsored by Blockley and Temple Guiting churches. For more information contact Revd Dana Delap on dana@delap.org.uk or 012386 700676.

Closing date is Friday 3 December
