Following essential works a few years ago renewing the roof of the tower and rehanging the bells, we have been working on plans to make the church building more welcoming and better suited to our needs. This includes provision of an accessible toilet, improved servery and choir vestry, better heating, more flexible seating and upgrades to the lighting and audio/visual provision. This work has involved much consultation with those who use the church, the wider community and statutory bodies. The consultation is ongoing and comments are very welcome. We are currently at the stage of refining details of the design based on the feedback we have received. The next stage will be to apply for the relevant permissions to go ahead and, of course, fund raising - much of it through grant applications.
